Walter Brennan was an American actor, and a respectively well known as well who appeared in several films, and won 2 academy awards during his career. Prior to winning these awards he appeared in 2 Three Stooges shorts, first in Woman Haters sleeping on the train and 2nd in the Restless Knights where he played the Three Stooges father, despite the fact that he was only around ten to sixteen years older than the stooges.

- He and Lucille Ball are the only actors to be in Stooge Shorts to have gained some fame, however both of those actors were not as well known when they appeared in the Three Stooges shorts.
- Walter Brennan is the only actor who worked with the three stooges, that won an Oscar. Some of Stooge fans were jealous to him.
